  • William Roach - Performer's Portfolio

My friend, William Roach, contacted me in November of 2020 about building a custom website to act as a personal portfolio and to help him sell and schedule private lessons with students online. After a few emails back and forth, we settled on a 4 page website with the following pages:

    • Home page, profile and teaching philosophy

    • Videos page, a listing of YouTube videos of past performances

    • Schedule Private Lessons page, a page to list private lesson types, with CTAs to schedule via Calendly

    • Contact page, a page for potential students to email with questions

We signed a contract over the holidays, and planned for the project to be delivered late in February. Throughout development, I was in frequent contact with William to get his feedback on features, and because of the quick feedback cycle, I was able to deliver the project 2 weeks early!

This was a really fun project to work on, and I got to play with more interesting UI ideas than I typically get to. Particularly the "glass-like" cards on the Private Lessons and Contact pages, and the fun gradients present throughout the site.

  • Tamale's Tours

Tamale's Tours is a Shopify site I customized the theme of for a friend and SF Drag Legend, Tamale Ringwald, who was starting a boat tour and lifestyle company in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

In addition to learning how to setup a Shopify site, customize a theme, and create custom templates, I wanted to include some currency conversion on the site. This led to me using StencilJS to create a web-component I could easily embed on pages that needed currency converted.
